FIC President Gave Interview for “Ekonom:еast”

In his interview for “Ekonom:еast, the FIC President Kjell-Morten Johnsen conveyed that Serbia was more open for investments compared to other countries, since this country does not protect its economy in the way other countries usually do.

Open Dialogue as a Precondition for an Efficient Business Environment

Belgrade, July 9, 2010 – Foreign Investors Council in Serbia organized a "Reality Check" Conference in partnership with high state representatives including Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetković, with the aim to contribute to the overall business climate improvement and raise competitiveness of Serbia as an investment location, through an open dialogue on key issues which burden business conditions in our country.

Telecom&IT Committee President Provided Interview for Inforeview

Vera Nikolic Dimic, President of the Telecom&IT Committee presented the work of the Committee in the interview for the Inforeview Magazine. The FIC Telecommunications Committee was formed in January 2009, and as of June 2010, it changed the name into the Telecommunications&IT Committee, in order to expand its portfolio by including the IT sector.

In his interview for “CESS Magazine”, FIC President Kjell-Morten Johnsen noted that the business climate was pretty good but that there was still room for improvement, especially in relation to the need to simplify the procedures related to the real-estate sector, amongst others.

FIC Telecom Committee Changed Name

The FIC Telecommunications Committee (“Telecom Committee”) was established in January 2009, gathering the main operators and vendors in the telecommunication field as well as other interested companies, members of the FIC.

FIC Receives a Certificate of Appreciation from Estiem

The representatives of the ESTIEM (European Students of Industrial Engineering and Management) Local Group Belgrade, visited the FIC Executive Team on June 16th, in order to hand in a Certificate of Appreciation for the given support to the “Case Study Show 2010”.

FIC Vice President on Overall Business Environment

The FIC Vice President participated as a speaker at the Conference "International Business Sector”, organized by the Alliance Media International, on Friday, May 4th 2010, in Hyatt. Additionally he provided interview responding to the journalist questions regarding overall business environment that was published in Daily Politika on June 10th, and later on as an extract in CorD Magazine.

FIC Continues the Project on Summer Internship with Ministry of Diaspora

The Minister for Diaspora, Mr. Srdjan Sreckovic and Mr. Kjell-Morten Johnsen, the President of the Foreign Investors Council have signed the agreement on cooperation, which anticipates that the member companies of the Foreign Investors Council will participate actively in the project of the Ministry for Diaspora "The Return of Experts from the Diaspora to Serbia", which is planned to include the realization of professional practical training of young students from the Diaspora in companies which are operating in Serbia and are members of the Council.
