Mr. Werner Herics became WAZ Managing Director for Serbia in January of 2007. He graduated from Vienna University receiving a Bachelors Degree with Minor in Political Science and Major in History and Geography and a Masters Degree in Philosophy. To further his training, he attended Rainer Schmidt´s Specialized Management Seminar on Conflict Management and Decision Making, Conference Management and Public Speaking, and the ORF (Austrian Radio and Television Network) in-house Education for Journalists on framing the picture, interviewing techniques, anchoring radio and TV programs, etc. In 2007 Mr. Herics was appointed as a WAZ Managing Director for Serbia and PNM (Politika novine i magazini) Deputy Managing Director in Belgrade, a company publishing two daily newspapers and managing a large printing operation, with 700 employees and EUR 35 mil turnover. Parallel to this appointment Mr. Herics serves as a President of DVP (Dnevnik Vojvodina Press) Company Assembly in Novi Sad, a company publishing one daily and three weekly publications with 220 employees and EUR 5 mil turnover, and a Media Print Serbia Director, a company publishing Auto Bild and managing a specialized CMS (Corporate Media Serbia) publishing.

Mr Herics is the Member of the German Chamber of Commerce in Serbia Management Board. He is married and has two children.
