Introduction: Mace is one of the world’s most accomplished multi-disciplinary Consultancy and Project Management Construction companies. Recognizing Mace as a reliable partner, innovator in the practice and company that supports a permanent development in various fields of construction industry, in 2004 Philip Morris International engaged us in the project of tobacco factory complex reconstruction in Nis, Serbia. The project was successfully completed in April 2006 and since then Mace SEE, is successfully working on more than 20 major projects in the region (successfully completed 400.000 m2 of residential, commercial and industrial projects and currently working on more than 500.000 m2 in various phases of development).

Mace high calibre, adaptable project delivery teams are bringing an innovative approach and high skills in the management and coordination of the most complex, multi-faceted, schemes using leading-edge techniques and processes, ensuring that client’s operational needs are met in the most efficient way. We currently employ more than 100 employees, 76 of which have engineering licences – all disciplines (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical HV&LV, architects, etc.) issued by Serbian, Montenegrin, Croatian, Macedonian Chambers of Engineers and more than 3 years experience with Mace.

Services: Mace services portfolio span the entire property life cycle and it comprises management of design, development, program, project, cost and facility management in addition to a full construction delivery service. 2. How do you perceive Mace d.o.o strategy for further growth on this market?

There is no doubt that the current global economic climate is challenging the industry. However, we are in good shape to ride out these conditions and emerge as a stronger business with a healthy pipeline of work over the next few years. The company's diversification strategy has protected the business during this unprecedented economic downturn while our growth strategy has also enabled the business to limit exposure or dependency on one particular area or market. We will continue with providing a broader service across more sectors and geographical locations in the region that will along with our determination to fulfil beyond clients expectations, ensure Mace retaining the leading position on the regional market.

3. What is in your view the role of the FIC and what are your expectations?

We believe that FIC represents the voice of all foreign investors in Serbia and is efficiently building a bridge with State and Local authorities as well as among members themselves. Our expectation is that FIC will keep, through existing member committees and in cooperation with Serbian Government, initiating, guiding and accomplishing required changes in Serbia’s business environment and regulations that would make Serbia more attractive for foreign investments.
