Nokia Siemens Networks Srbija d.o.o.

Company name: Nokia Siemens Networks Srbija d.o.o
Industry: Telecommunication
Introduction:
Nokia Siemens Networks is a leading global enabler of communications services. The company provides a complete, well-balanced product portfolio of mobile and fixed network infrastructure solutions and addresses the growing demand for services with 20,000 service professionals worldwide. Nokia Siemens Networks is one of the largest telecommunications infrastructure companies. It has operations in some 150 countries and is headquartered in Espoo, Finland. It combines Nokia's Networks Business Group and the carrier related businesses of Siemens Communications.
Our customers require end-to-end solutions; and the pace of their requirements will accelerate in the future. We can help change the way they do business and capture value. We listen to our customers, innovate together and solve our customers' most pressing business challenges.
We bring the benefits of scale and global reach, plus a deep understanding of operator business, an industry-leading research and development organization, and a wide range of services, products and solutions to our customers. But, to succeed in a rapidly evolving communications industry, scale is not enough. Therefore, we are building an organization and culture that constantly evolves to address our customers' key challenges and lead industry change.
The explosive growth of network and Internet traffic, both in terms of bandwidth and subscribers, represents a great opportunity for operators and equipment providers. However, the legacy of the traditional telecoms business has resulted in complex and partly overlapping network layering and architecture. The complexity of network architecture is not just a technical issue. It is a highly prominent business challenge for most of our customers. Therefore, we drive the transition towards simplified network architecture enabled through innovative, environmentally sustainable solutions that enable rapid growth.
We believe that by 2015 more than five billion people will be connected, and a majority of them will come from new growth markets. We also believe that the Internet, as the main platform for services, content, and applications, will have a profound impact on communications and on people's lives, and broadband will be everywhere. Across the globe, the use of mobile, wireless broadband and fixed broadband services will see exponential growth; with emerging economies demonstrating a distinct preference for wireless technologies.
This evolution to a connected world is driving an industry transformation, and all its players are responding by adapting various aspects of their businesses. We work on innovative solutions in areas that we believe require significant attention for the sustainable growth of our industry. These include network efficiency and enriched customer experience, two factors that in today's highly competitive market are critical to the success of our customers. Through our solutions, we empower them with scalable flat architecture networks that are cost-effective, energy-efficient, and future ready. In addition our solutions help our customers provide differentiated service offerings tailored to meet the evolving needs of their subscribers.
Services:
Our proposition to our customers lies in our end-to-end and innovative portfolio of products, services and solutions that not only enable the design, deployment, maintenance and management of networks; but also help our customers reduce their carbon footprint, minimize churn, and simultaneously realize new business opportunities. Our Global Services hub, along with some of our major global services delivery centres, is located in India. Thanks to our remote delivery capabilities, customers and networks around the world can be served from these centres.
Success as a service provider used to depend largely on managing your network. Today it's about managing end-user relationships. Competition for these relationships is intensifying, forcing investment in new technologies and services to reduce churn and enable growth. But service differentiation often comes at the price of greater network complexity and higher capital and operational costs.
Faced with these challenges, service providers need to create new end-user services, increase operational efficiency or redefine where the value truly lies within their organizations. This means re-examining business and operational processes to support new strategies or even entirely new business models.
Our 20,000-strong global team of dedicated Solutioneers serves our customers in more than 150 countries, serving more than 220 million subscribers through over 200 managed services contracts. What we do depends on the situation, but it is always focused on improving our customers' businesses. From consultancy to outsourced operations; from systems integration to hosting; from network design to full turnkey including network care, our Services business has the capability to integrate all in house products and the knowledge on third party technologies to deliver end-to-end deployments to get our customers where they need to be.

A word from Miodrag Radojevic, Country Director of the Nokia Siemens Networks Srbija1. What are the core values of the Nokia Siemens Networks Srbija business philosophy?Regardless of who we are we all shape our culture in our daily interactions. To enrich our NSN culture, we have agreed five values for NSN. We are all responsible to embed these principles to guide our actions and serve as our cultural cornerstones. Working groups across NSN have documented behaviours that link our values to our daily business. Why values matter
This process has positioned the values as the cornerstones of our new culture. Ensuring our behaviour truly reflects all five NSN values to set us apart from the competition. ![]() Diversity For us, diversity is about:
1. How do you perceive the Nokia Siemens Networks Srbija strategy for further growth on this market? Two years ago Nokia Networks and Siemens Communications joined operations and now the consolidation is essentially behind us. We have become one company - Nokia Siemens Networks. Even if the task is not yet fully complete, our integration is a rare success story. Today we have 60,000 people in more than 150 countries. We have 600 Communications Service Providers as customers. We are the world's second largest telecommunications supplier. Every second we touch the lives of millions and millions of individuals. The world around us is transforming at an ever increasing speed - the economic downturn, a maturing industry, and fierce competition from Far East. Winners will be those who not only embrace change but actually drive it. We must drive change - and look beyond our traditional strongholds to win new business and find new areas to grow. Our industry has been about connections: More. Faster. Cheaper. More efficient. That hunt for efficiency must continue - but it is also only a starting point. An open, collaborative and customer-centric telecom industry can bring much more value to billions of individuals and millions of businesses. We must help the industry capture that value. 2. What is in your view the role of the FIC and what are your expectations? Working together with other foreign investors and local companies within FIC, especially within specific telecommunications industry related committee(s) and jointly representing interests of the industry in Serbian market. This should enable reaching common goals, such as: healthy and competitive business climate, understanding and support for business development from the Government and its agencies, more efficient and faster administration and procedures in order to improve overall business environment. These are at the same time NSN view of FIC role and our expectations. |
