“Road to the top“ Project

“Road to the top“ (“Put ka vrhu“) promotes European values, connects people, brings together ideas and markets, encourages competition, motivates entrepreneurs, manufacturers and business people, advances and enhances business communication.

"Road to the top" ("Put ka vrhu") provides education for those wishing to take on a business challenge; it also revives the confidence and boosts optimism. The project is lead by the Media Invent and the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad, with the logistic support of regional chambers of commerce and the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia.

WHAT?

"Road to the top" ("Put ka vrhu") is a project of continual affirmation of the entrepreneurship spirit of Serbia. Every year there is a new cycle of monitoring, analysis and evaluation of success of businesses and individuals, whose outstanding performance and progress qualifies them for the „Kapetan Miša Anastasijević" award - the statue and charter - the work of the sculptor Ljubiša Mančić from Belgrade.

The prize is awarded based on several criteria: business professionalism, market position, application of standards, social policy, corporate responsibility and moral values, and the winners are the best small and middle-sized companies, companies in general, the management and individual managers, entrepreneurs, manufacturers, businesswomen, foreign investors, etc.

By acknowledging the successful businesses, we create and promote the atmosphere of a trust-worthy economy, existence of competition, quality, standards and other values that are a hallmark of a developed economy.

There are two illustrated volumes, published not only to document the project, but also to get to know each other better and to present our achievements to Europe. The third edition that will be published next year will be a bilingual - Serbian and English - document of the changes that have taken place.  

The aim is to present Serbia in a brighter light. Time runs fast, but never so fast for those who have chosen correction and upgrading for their mission. Slowly but surely, Serbia is changing.

WHY SUPPORT?

We acquaint the Serbian market with foreign investors, their offer, ways of doing business, objectives, ambitions, corporate culture and responsibility.

The presentation of foreign companies is in the form of high-quality, pro-active and useful information, significant both to the market and the investors.

The project is essentially a contribution to an improved business environment in Serbia - as such, it needs more than verbal support, it needs funding.

WHЕRE?

The "Road to the top" ("Put ka vrhu") project will complete this year's cycle on 25th March 2010, at the promotion of the book that will be held at the Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad. On this occasion, all of those who contributed to the overall development of Serbia will be presented with the "Kapetan Miša Anastasijević"awards.

WHEN?

The "Road to the top" ("Put ka vrhu") project is organised annually, from 25th March of the current year to 25th March of the following year.

The foreign investors - participants in this year's cycle include: ‘'Holcim'', ‘'Deloitte'', ‘'British American Tobacco'', Banka Intesa, ‘'Henkel'', ‘'Politika'', Raiffeisen bank, ‘'Tigar''... as well as the Council of Foreign Investors, a candidate that the Serbian Chamber of Commerce has proposed for the award.
