Support to Enterprise Competitiveness and Export Promotion (SECEP) Programme

The Serbian Supplier Development Programme (SSDP) aims at developing competitive local suppliers able to meet the supply requirements of multinational corporations (MNCs) in the region. By enhancing their management and production skills, the programme will help local companies to obtain more, and higher value-added, contracts from multinationals and become part of global value chains. The new competitive local suppliers would also help to retain existing inward investors as well as attract new ones.

What?

Support to Enterprise Competitiveness and Export Promotion (SECEP) is technical assistance programme funded by the European Delegation in Serbia (EC) and administered by the private consultancy company International Development Ireland (IDI). The project objective is to help Serbia promote competitiveness and export as the valuable appliance for SME's development and to increase the spill over of private initiatives benefits to the local (Serbian) economy.

Project duration is July 2009 - December 2011 and three project components are envisaged to enhance the Enterprise Competitiveness and Export promotion:

  1. Cluster Development Support
  2. Internationalization
  3. Serbian Supplier Development Programme (SSDP)

Why support?

Programme task is to obtain technical-consultancy assistance to the participating SMEs in establishing efficient way to improve system of business activities and to extend the range of sales on the international and local market.

At the moment, there is an ongoing Public Call, launched by SECEP Project in order to offer Serbian SMEs a possibility to join the Serbian Supplier Development Programme. If you feel that your local suppliers (or good candidates and potential ones) could benefit from this program - please share this information with them.

Where?

All interested companies that wish to apply for participation in the SSDP can find more information on requirements needed at the following websites: www.secep.rs; www.siepa.gov.rs or www.merr.sr.gov.rs  

When?

All SMEs in Serbia that meet the minimum criteria (listed in the Public Call) can apply for the programme. The deadline for receiving applications is 15 February 2010. For additional information please contact:
