Polyethylene and Polypropylene for Industrial Production

Belgrade, 4 February 2019 – Since February 1, MOL Serbia has enriched its assortment with a range of new petrochemical products, which include low-density (tipolen) and high density (tipeline) polyethylene, as well as polypropylene (tipplen), which come from MOL Petrochemicals Ltd. in Hungary. They have wide application in the automotive industry, in the manufacture of various plastic products, as well as in the construction industry.

"MOL Serbia is recognized not only for high-quality fuel, but as a company offering a range of products used in industrial production in the Serbian market. We are proud of the fact that we are the first MOL Group warehouse for polymers outside the territory of Hungary from which the surrounding countries will be supplied. Interest in petrochemical products exist because of their wide application in production, and we can be proud that the first deliveries of new products started from our warehouse”, said Natasa Vukšić, acting director of MOL Serbia.

Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) grades produced by MOL Petrochemicals Ltd. in Tiszaújváros are sold under the name of TIPOLEN with density range 920-923 kg/m3 and the excellent physical and mechanical properties it is used for production of films, injection moulding, extrusion, tubes and pipes, blow moulding.

HDPE - High density polyethylene customers will be available as TIPELINE. Density for unimodal products ranges from 934 to 961 kg / m3, while bimodal density ranges from 948 to 958 kg / m3. It has application in the industry in the processes of production and modeling of foils, plastic bottles, pipe extruding, and injection molding (casting under pressure) and split film fibers.

Polypropylene (PP) is offered by the name of TIPPLEN on the market. It is high purity polymer and has consistent quality. The product range includes homopolymers, copolymers, random copolymers and TPO classes. Areas of application are different from pipes, extruded and cast plates and profiles, thermoforming, fibers, split film yarns, household products production, to automotive parts, bottles, shutters, etc.
