NESTLÉ MARKS 15TH ANNIVERSARY IN SERBIA

At a ceremony held in Belgrade last night, Nestlé Adriatic marked 15 years of operations in Serbia. The manager of the company's factory in Surcin, Tanja Zigic, said it made 15,000 t of products a year under the well-known brands C, Maggi, and Thomy, exported to 40 countries.

Since 2011, when the Serbian factory became a part of Nestlé, over EUR 16 mn has been invested in equipment, capacity expansion, and product development, Zigic noted. The company invested a total of EU 2.3 mn in equipment, she added, and production has thus grown by 25%, the product range has 100 new prod-ucts, and new jobs have been created. “The factory in Surcin became highly-productive in 2017 and based on its performance, also a part of the so-called Champions League, thus showing that we can achieve excellent results in a relatively short period with high-quality staff in Serbia,” Zigic said.
