NIS POSTS NET PROFIT WORTH RSD 16.6 BN IN 2019

The Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS) realized a net profit worth RSD 16.6 bn in 2019, which is also the year in which it implemented the biggest investment program since 2013.

As the company announced on Friday, it invested RSD 42.2 bn in development and modernization, a 3% rise y-o-y. The priority in terms of investment was the field of oil and gas exploration and production, the fur-thermodernization of the Pancevo Oil Refinery, the development of the retail network in Serbia and the countries in the region, and the implementation of environmental protection programs. In 2019, the company registered earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) worth RSD 44.5 bn. In the same period, NIS Group’s liabilities arising from taxes and other public revenues equaled RSD 189.9 bn. Last year’s dividend payout to shareholders stood at RSD 6.5 bn.
